Malum is a large wolf; his shoulders and legs are thick and his neck muscular. His head is broad, and his ears have rounded tips. His fur is a shiny black. It's short on his back and legs, but longer on his underbelly, neck, and two feet long tail. He has a faint scar on his right eye, and the bleeding from it cause his pupil to turn purple. His other eye is silver. Vision is a little touchy when it's foggy or too sunny. His nails are long, and his fangs are longer. He is a wolf that looks like he shouldn't be messed with.

✣ ✣ Personality ✣ ✣

There's something odd with this wolf. When he is calm, he is very friendly. He makes odd jokes, can be the leader someone confides in, an a good friend. His jokes are said in a casual tone, and usually his pack members don't understand that it's a joke until he turns to look at them with a twinkle in his eye. But it is like he turns into a whole new wolf when his temper rises. If a wolf goes against his word, he turns on them. He doesn't rip into them physically, but he does verbally. With his fangs bared, he let's them know of their stupidity, and his punishments range from cleaning the camp to spending the night outside of the camp, then to complete exile. If it is complete disobedience or turning on the pack, he orders their death. Whether they can escape the territory is up to them.
When he is feeling decent, Malum enjoys going out with the pack to hunt or patrol, and occasionally keeps the pups company.

✣ ✣ History ✣ ✣

Malum was raised in a pack that consisted only of his family, which was appropriately named The Family. There were two litters above him, and another was born when he was two years old. A female from his litter, Gemma, was an odd white. The rest of the family was black or shades of gray. As they grew older, Gemma always seemed to get the attention, even though Malum himself made great accomplishments alongside her. 
At three years old, he confronted his family. He felt like an outsider to his own blood. He realized that Gemma wasn't doing it on purpose when she apologized, her ears tucked back, amber eyes low. She was an honest wolf. But his father turned on him, telling him off for disrespecting The Family. Malum tried to defend himself, but his father grew so angry, he attacked his own son. 
Malum earned his odd eye color through a scar his father gave him. His elder siblings pulled their father off their mangled little brother, but stood beside the alpha in his decision to banish Malum, sentencing death if he were ever to return.
Traveling alone for more than six moons, fighting off random lone wolves and even a bear, Malum finally crested over Hawk Mountains and saw the river and where it ran. He spotted the town, and then the abandoned dam. With renewed energy and hope, Malum padded beside the river until he reached the dam. Analyzing the size of it, and the distance of the pack scent blowing in the wind, he decided there and then to make his own make. He decided to let lone wolves to take shelter within his pack, and word quickly spread.
Whether it was for the best or not is still to be decided, hiding in the dark shadows of an abandoned town nearby.
