DESCRIPTION:
A sturdy and powerful-looking wolf, Felix could look very intimidating if he wanted to. His fur holds a wide variety of colours, ranging from pale tan to an almost gingerish red on his muzzle and ears, whilst flecks of grey and white mingle across his body and crown to break up his tan base colour. His eyes are green, the colour of leaves in spring, while his nose and paw pads are solid black. His claws are pale brown and rather sharp for a wolf's, and his white fangs are also somewhat sharper and longer than average. He has a number of clearly visible scars on his face, chest and flanks, each from a victorious battle.

PERSONALITY
You gotta laugh when you're the joke

TRAITS:
Felix comes across at first glance as a ferociously aggressive, cruel and manipulative brute whose only thought is to rule. But in truth, he is a far more complex creature. While Felix is quite aggressive, and does not hesitate to use beatings (or even death) as punishments for disobedience or betrayal, he is also fiercely loyal to those who are loyal to him, and cares deeply for each and every one of them. If someone disobeys or betrays him, it is like an actual, physical pain to him, as he likes to believe that as he would die for them, they too would lay down their lives for him in return.

This wolf is very capable and resourceful, having spent the majority of his early life alone and trying to survive without the aid of parents or a pack. Though he has had a few... violent outbursts, much of it comes from his instinctive need to survive, and from his early life as a loner. After all, when a pup is alone in the world, everything is a threat- and he has maintained this mentality into adulthood. Even the slightest hint of a threat- whether that comes through disloyalty or aggression from an outsider- will provoke an attack from him. Felix wants nobody to care about him so that when he dies, nobody will mourn him- for the same reason, he does not let himself grow too attached, and if somebody dies, he will not mourn them for any longer than a few fleeting moments.

He harbours a deep-rooted hatred of his sister, Artemis, though at the same time- and quite annoyingly to him- he cares for her as any brother would care for an annoying sister.

HISTORY
There's nothing like a funeral to make you feel alive

Felix was born under the name of Ares into another pack far away, with two sisters- a brother, Artemis and Athena. He was raised by two doting parents, but as young pups he and Artemis were separated from the rest of their family- and from each other- when they were washed away whilst trying to cross a flooded river. They would never see their birth pack again, as everybody else perished in the waters.

It is here that Felix’s story diverts from Artemis’ as, while she was taken in by another, he was left with no one. He washed up on a different bank to his sister and was fortunate to discover a ground-dwelling bird’s nest not far away. Where the parents were, he had no idea- perhaps taken by the floods- but he soon devoured the eggs and, with his strength replenished, headed uphill away from the threat of the water. He vowed on that day never to set foot in water again.

For the next year he was alone, teaching himself how to survive and learning from mistakes made. Eventually he stumbled upon the Dark Blood pack and was accepted among their ranks. However, the alpha of the time would discover this to be a mistake a year later. Turned bitter and aggressive from his time alone, with a craving for power, Felix killed the alpha- considering him a threat- and took his place. He has ruled ever since, using his ruthlessness and intelligence to keep his pack together.

When he was two years old, he discovered his sister, Artemis, had also survived the floods and was a part of another pack- the Torn Hearts. She wanted to get to know him- he drove her away as an enemy, and is determined not to let their blood ties get in his way. In his mind, their separation is her fault- how could it not be, when she survived with barely a mark on her whilst their parents perished, and he has been left battle-scarred?- and he considers her quite selfish for wanting him to care about her, when he wants nobody to care for him and does not want to care for anybody himself.
